Check out these simple 6 ways to fight dry hair. This list comes from the great people at raininghotcoupons.com.

  1. Wash your hair once every two days: Your shampoo can tend to be the factor for drying out hair. Try only washing it once every two days to help combat that dryness. This will help lock in moisture and keep your hair looking healthy and great.
  2. Wash your hair with warm not hot water: When showering, try turning down the water temperature. Hot showers can strip hair of it’s moisture and leave it feeling dry. Washing with warm water will help it retain moisture.
  3. Switch up your blow dry routine: Once again, try to avoid heat. I know I can’t go without blow drying my hair or it becomes a hot mess. Try blow drying on a lower heat or a cool heat. Really hot heat can cause your hair to fray. Also, be careful when brushing your hair while drying as this can add to damage.
  4. Try to brush your hair less: This may be hard to do or sound strange, but too much brushing can make your hair fall out a faster rate if it is already dry to begin with. Be gentle when brushing, and try using a wide tooth comb when your hair is wet.
  5. Try an egg treatment: I’m sure so many women have seen egg treatments on Pinterest and thought “huh?” I know I did at first, but they really work! While your hair is damp, wash it with a few egg yolks and let it sit for 20 minutes. Once done, rinse your hair out as normal. After you’ve rinsed all the egg out, wash your hair with shampoo. The hair will give you moisture and a nice silky shine!
  6. Lastly, give your hair a break: Try going a day or two without styling, treating or blow drying. Everything on our body needs a break now and then, and this includes your hair. Doing this can help prevent damage and breakage.
