No matter what your age, everybody loves a grilled cheese. Why not try something different other than just cheese and bread. I came across this great recipe for a grilled cheese that helps you get some veggies too! It contains tomatoes, avocado and mozzarella cheese. Also, the bread is a whole wheat english muffin to add a little extra healthiness to it. Here’s what you need to make this yummy sandwich.
- Package of whole wheat english muffins
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 tomato
- fresh mozzarella
- panini press or just a regular pan if you don’t have one
Slice up the tomato, avocado and cheese. Put one slice of tomato, a few pieces of avocado and sandwich those in between the mozzarella and bread. You can simply season with salt and pepper. I would try a little balsamic after it is grilled. Toast the english muffin until the cheese is melted and gooey. Lastly, enjoy!!
