The Many Uses of Coconut Oil

Have you ever wondered why Carrie Underwood’s skin has a glow from head to toe? I did, and I thought “I wonder what she uses to get that glow?” She uses coconut oil! Carrie Underwood uses coconut oil on her food which has great health benefits as well. She has that beautiful glow one can’t help to notice from her face to her legs all over.

I as well use it all over myself, from my head to my toes! I’m especially fond of using the coconut oil on my face and neck as a moisturizer every day. Yes something as simple as coconut oil. It is a natural moisturizer in itself, plus it’s a wrinkle reducer. Just dab a small amount onto your fingers and gently massage onto your face. It’s that easy! My face and neck are as soft as a babies behind. Others always compliment, “you’re skin is beautiful, smooth and bright.  What do you use on your skin?”  It’s my beloved coconut oil. I only use unrefined coconut oil. I’ll talk about that in a bit.

Twice a month or more I use my own mixture of Coconut oil to give my hair a deep conditioning hair treatment. This is my little routine. Before I hop into shower, I put the coconut oil on my dry hair. Coating my hair from roots to ends, I massage the coconut oil into my scalp and leave it on for 30 min. I hop in shower, and wash and condition as normal. I usually shampoo twice! Let you hair air dry, or blow-dry and style. I love the way my hair feels and the glossy look it gives my it. Totally natural, it’s the best by far!

Unrefined or virgin coconut oil is what I use. It just has one ingredient: coconut oil! No fillers or added fragrances. I purchase my coconut oil at Puritan’s Pride website. Great website, awesome prices. If I am in a pinch, I head to either Sprouts or Trader Joes, however most health stores carry unrefined or virgin coconut oil. Read the label and always double check to be sure of only one ingredient, coconut oil.
