Throwing a party? Why not set up a mimosa bar!?
I don’t know about you, but I love mimosas. The traditional mimosa is usually made up of half champagne and half orange juice. Why not change it up a bit?
I recently stumbled across this great idea of a mimosa bar. Whether you’re throwing an engagement party, bridal shower, baby shower, or just a brunch, a mimosa bar is the way to go. It definitely takes a lot of stress off your shoulders as the hostess. I know this personally as at my sister’s bridal shower and baby shower, I made Sangrias. I love sangrias, but for as fast as people were drinking them, it began to be a pain to continue making them over and over again. With a mimosa bar, people can make there own and add whatever juice or fruit they’d like. Also if there are little ones at the party, they can do the same thing with sparkling cider!
Another great thing about a mimosa bar is how easy the set up is. Just grab some bottles of bubbly and place them in an ice bucket. Whatever the party, find a nice bucket to go with it.
Next, grab some great juices and pour them in pretty carafes. Of course you gotta go with orange juice, but other great juices to use are cranberry, pineapple, mango, and even grapefruit! Really anything goes well with the champagne. Make up some pretty labels for each juice so guests can see.
After the juice is set up, cut up some fresh fruit and bring out some berries to garnish your drink. Strawberries, raspberries, oranges, blackberries, the possibilities are endless.
Lastly, set up some champagne flutes and toothpicks or skewers so your guests can grab the fruit easily at your mimosa bar. Don’t want people using your nice glasses? Or don’t have enough champagne flutes to begin with? Buy some plastic ones! They’re inexpensive and usually look almost like the real thing. That way you don’t have to worry about guests breaking yours or spending a ton of money buying new ones.
Simple as that! That’s about as worry and hassle free as you can get. I definitely want to do a mimosa bar for my next party! It’s easy, and with all the colors your table will look so pretty!
