It’s that time for the Pantone color of the year for 2015!
It’s time to trade in 2014’s color which was Radiant Orchid, for this year’s color, Marsala.
Just like the name, it’s a beautiful red wine color. This color is great because it is so versatile. It’s very earthy, and it’s appealing to both men and women. Executive Director for the Pantone Color Institute, Leatrice Eiseman, has said this about the beautiful Pantone color of the year:
“Marsala enriches our mind, body and soul, exuding confidence and stability. Marsala is a subtly seductive shade, one that draws us into its embracing warmth.”
Well said! This color will be great not only in fashion, but in jewelry and makeup as well. I’m also excited to see this beautiful color on men! It’s so sultry, dramatic, rich and sophisticated.
